Retired Air Force Col. Kimberly Olson was the first woman to attend and graduate undergraduate pilot training at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas. Due to her willingness to become a pilot, an outdated policy was changed to allow women the opportunity to apply to pilot training while in Officer Training School.

The Survivor Benefit Program provides no-cost automatic coverage to active duty and reserve component members who die of a service connected cause. Adventure Race XII is slated to begin April 23 at 7 a.m. on Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas.
