The Laughlin Commissary held the Healthy Lifestyle Festival at Laughlin Air Force Base, June 13, 2017. This event focused on giving families different resources that would help them live a healthy lifestyle. 20 organizations such as the Airman and Family Readiness Center, Fit Bar and base health exercise physiology office, participated in managing displays that provided educational material to the Airmen and their families. Col Brian Runkle, 47th Operations Group commander, will be the guest speaker, and awards will be given to stand-out members of the class.
Laughlin graduates more than 300 pilots annually.

Benji Rawald, a student at Del Rio High School and longtime Scouts member, is one of those who challenges that status quo. Rawald, beginning his tenure in the Cub Scouts in kindergarten under the guidance of his mother, a naturally biased Katherine Nielander, he worked his way up the ranks into the prestigious Eagle Scouts.
