Health Educator, What?
I get a lot of questions about my degree, MPH, and what a Health Educator actually does. Though I have been asked "How many miles per hour do you go?" I could say "100 mph!" MPH actually stands for "Masters in Public Health" which credentials me to be a Health Educator. "Oh, so what does a health educator do?" is the next question. In a nut shell, I'm in the business of preventing any illness, injury or habit that reduces your life span. I focus on PREVENTION, helping you achieve a healthier lifestyle so you don't develop your grandma's diabetes, your uncle's heart disease, your parent's high blood pressure or cholesterol, you get the picture. Each month I plan different programs for the Laughlin community to enjoy. Additionally, I promote policies that help everyone on Laughlin stay healthy. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments. Here's to your health.
