tabMonthly Produce Pick
Honeydew, grapefruit, bell pepper are some of the beautiful produce items that are in-season, in Texas, during January.

Honeydew  is a fruit that you may find difficult to select. Choose well shaped honeydew melons that are nearly spherical. It should have a waxy, not fuzzy surface and feel heavy for size.
Store honeydew melons in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Honeydew are fat free; saturated fat free and  very low sodium;
cholesterol free; high in vitamin C.
