LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Airman 1st Class Jim Umali, 47th Force Support Squadron, shows Airman 1st Class Kristen Odom, 47th Mission Support Group, how to update her assignment dream sheet and Servicemember’s Group Life Insurance paperwork at the Laughlin’s Military Personnel Flight help desk Feb. 11, 2008. MPF Airmen are responsible for updating and processing members’ data and personnel records, ranging from assignment notifications, evaluations and promotions to awards and decorations. They also assist applicants with accessing the virtual MPF and answering general questions about their personnel issues. “I like my job because it gives me the opportunity to meet people,” said Airman Umali. “Every time someone new comes to Laughlin, I get to meet them. LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas-- In the female category, ages 16 to 29, Stella Schiess and Katie Hale race to the finish line as the first and second-place winner, with a time of 23:50 and 23:52 minutes respectively, during the Valentine’s Day 5K Fun Run/Walk Jan. 9, 2007. More than 100 base members and their families participated in the event organized by the Losano Fitness Center.
