Laughlin prepares for Easter
LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, TEXAS -- --
If you are looking to attend Easter services, take part in an Easter egg hunt or both, Laughlin has what you're looking for Easter weekend.
Festivities kick off with a parade at 9 a.m. April 11. The parade will start at the Base Chapel and end at Ribas-Dominicci Circle. Laughlin members are encouraged to take part by decorating a bike, stroller or wagon, or putting on a festive Easter costume. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume and the best decorated bike or stroller.
Following the parade there will be an egg hunt at Leaning Pine Golf Course at 10 a.m. Age groups will be 1 day to 3 years old, 4 to 6 years old, 7 to 9 years old and 10 to 12 years old. From 10 a.m. until noon food will be available, along with pony rides, games and photos with the Easter Bunny. At 10:30 a.m. there will a hat and tie contest for the adults.
The golf course pond will also be open for fishing, so Laughlin members are encouraged to bring fishing poles and gear.
Three touring golf pros will be available at the Leaning Pines club house for questions and demonstrations starting at 11:15 a.m.
An Easter brunch will be held at Club XL from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday and will include dishes such as leg of lamb, prime rib and an omelet and waffle station.
