LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The 47th Flying Training Wing recognized Laughlin’s newest staff sergeant selects during the Staff Sergeant Release Party held at XL Landings August 14, 2026.
Laughlin personnel, family and friends gathered to commemorate twenty-three Airmen for their astounding diligence and commitment to the mission, earning them the rank of staff sergeant.
Air Force officials selected 12,671 Senior Airmen for promotion to Staff Sergeant out of 39,774 eligibles for a selection rate of 31.86 percent in the 26E5 promotion cycle.
