April Family Advocacy Classes

The 47th Medical Group is offering a series of free family advocacy classes open to all base personnel, ranging in topics from baby care to stress management classes, throughout the month of April.

 

 

-1-2-3 Magic Parenting: This course consists of one two-hour session that offers parenting solutions that work well with children ages 2-12.

 

April 8, 2016

Mental Health Conference Room

2 to 4 p.m.

 

-Second Trimester Class: This class provides information related to the second trimester of pregnancy. Handouts are provided, and fathers are welcome.

 

April 12, 2016

47th MDG Training Room

9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

 

-Stress Free Parenting: This course provides insight on management techniques for healthy ways to cope with parenting stress.

 

April 12, 2016

Mental Health Conference Room

Noon to 1:30 p.m.

 

-Breastfeeding Basics: This course provides basic education on breastfeeding. Handouts are provided, and fathers are welcome.

 

April 19, 2016

47th MDG Training Room

Noon to 1:30 p.m.

 

-Stress Management: In this course, participants will learn to identify triggers to stress, appropriate techniques for relaxation, and visualization skills to handle stress.

 

April 27, 2016

Noon to 1:00 p.m.

 

 

To sign-up for a Laughlin class, call 298-6422. You must register in order to attend each class. Classes are cancelled the night prior if there are no participants signed up.
