Two thumbs up at 'Pilot for a Day'
LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Del Rio native Edgar Ibarra Jr., touches a static wick on a T-6 aircraft Aug. 20 during his “Pilot for a Day” tour. The “Pilot for a Day” program gives terminally ill or disabled children the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a pilot at Laughlin. 8-year-old Edgar has spina bifida and his love of all things mechanical made him a perfect candidate.
