Newly appointed chief of AFRS comes home to begin world tour

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Command Chief Master Sgt. Ruben Gonzalez, Air Force Recruiting Service command chief, presents Master Sgt. (ret.) Pete Castillo, who recruited him into the Air Force in 1985, with his coin Aug. 19 in Del Rio. Chief Gonzalez, who is from Eagle Pass and recruited into the Air Force out of Del Rio, chose to begin his world-wide tour of AF recruiting stations with Del Rio.
