  • SUPT Class 19-16 set to graduate

    All Laughlin members are invited to attend Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training Class 19-16’s graduation ceremony at 10:30 a.m., May 31, 2019, in Anderson Hall, here. Col. (retired) Michael J. Lepper, former United States North American Aerospace Defense Command director of the commander’s action line, will be the guest speaker. Awards and special recognition will be given to outstanding graduates.

  • Airman’s Spotlight: Staff Sgt. Andrew Longaker

    Staff Sgt. Andrew Longaker, a 47th Comptroller Squadron accounting technician, discusses the importance of keeping all of the Comprehensive Airman Fitness pillars strong and stable. “These pillars all rely on one another, meaning that when one pillar is weakened or destroyed, the other three pillars have to carry more weight,” Longaker said. “Eventually, one weakened pillar leads to four weakened pillars, damaging the integrity of any Airman.   • Bowling lanes receive new upgrades

    For many Americans, the iconic images of bowling balls shooting down finely polished lanes has defined a generation and their past-times of choice. In a bid to update the game for the newest generation, the 47th Force Support Squadron recently completed upgrades to the Cactus Lanes bowling alley. The changes involve not only a modernization, but personalized and new ways to play the game.

  • Traffic changes coming to Laughlin

    The reopening of Texas State Highway Loop 79 marks the beginning of operations at Laughlin’s west gate, which will officially happen June 29, 2018 at 10 p.m. here. This change will also come with numerous street signs changes on Laughlin, meant to accommodate incoming and outgoing traffic from the new gate.

  • Laughlin leaders highlight helpful advice

    With a combined 88 years of Air Force service, three Laughlin leaders have learned the value of taking care of each other, balancing career and personal life, and understanding the value of life itself. Lt. Col. Britt Warren, 47th Operations Support Squadron commander, joined the Air Force with the understanding he was going to be a fighter pilot — a job where it’s important to be tough, thick-skinned yet sensitive enough to be receptive to feedback.
