Chief Master Sergeant Garry E. Berry II is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 47th Flying Training Wing, Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas. He serves as the principle advisor to the wing commander on all issues affecting the health, morale, welfare, professional development and readiness of nearly 2,800 military and civilian personnel engaged in executing more than 54,000 annual aircraft sorties in support of Laughlin's Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training mission. He advises unit commanders, group superintendents and first sergeants on quality of life issues impacting a community of 5,400 personnel and provides direction pertaining to the proper training, utilization and development of the wing's 473 enlisted Airmen.

Chief Berry grew up in Rodman, New York and entered the Air Force in October 1987. He has served in a variety of positions within two civil engineer career fields supporting varied missions as a construction equipment operator, a Silver Flag Contingency Training Instructor, a Quality Assurance Evaluator for three major contracts, program manager for the $10 billion Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and advisor to Air Staff/major commands on civil engineer strategic plans, policy and publications. Before assuming his current position in June 2012, he served as the Chief Enlisted Manager, Detachment 1, 554th RED HORSE Squadron, Kadena AB, Japan.
