Q1: What are Laughlin Out Loud (XLol) Clubs?

A1: XLol Clubs are groups of people who get together to share a common interest. They are open to anyone associated with Laughlin Air Force Base. XLol Clubs are not exclusive organizations that require a membership fee and are not registered private organizations. They are just a fun way for people who enjoy similar hobbies to get together and do what they love.

Q2: How do I join a club?

A2: To join a club, simply find the club description for the club you are interested in joining under the associated category. The club’s mentor will be listed as well as a means to contact him or her.

Q3: Why isn’t there any information about the club I’m interested in joining?

A3: If you see a club listed, but there is no information about the club, it is because people expressed interest in the club, but no one signed up to be a mentor.

Q4: What does it mean to be a mentor?

A4: Being a mentor just means taking the lead to establish a club. You do not need to be an expert in your hobby to be the mentor. You just need to be willing to get the email and Facebook up and running. Once that is done, you can assign a host to coordinate and lead events.

Q5: What if my club isn’t listed? Can I start a club?

A5: Yes, you can! Simply click on the “Start a Club” button, and follow the instructions. Once the Facebook page is created, send an email to the 47th FTW/CCCA Laughlin AFB inbox with the clubs name, link, Gmail username and password, a brief explanation of the club, and the category you would like your club to show up under. That information will then go up on the website.
