Job title and unit: 47th Student Squadron T-1A Jayhawk simulator instructor

Why he XLed: He completed a six hour course entitled "Sexual Assault and Psychopaths Among Us," detailing the behaviors and actions of sexual perpetrators. During Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Prevention month he volunteered several hours to hand out informational flyers and calendars at the base exchange and commissary patrons. He was the lead reader of the Sexual Assault Prevention Proclamation signed by the wing commander. He conducted several wingman and diversity day mandatory briefings in support of the Sexual Assault and Prevention Response program. He supported the local cub-scout program by supporting the annual Pinewood Derby, and his last annual checkride was rated "Outstanding."

Family: Wife, Tina; daughter, Bobbie Jo; son, Justin. I also have five Grandchildren

Time in military/civil service: Twenty years military, three years civil service and 20 years of contract work, six of which were at Laughlin

Greatest accomplishment: Being the first in my family to get a college degree

Hobbies: Golfing, teaching gun safety and woodworking

Favorite movie: The Matrix

If you could spend one hour with any person, who would it be and why: Professional golfer Gary Player. I've always admired and tried to emulate the way he carried himself both on and off the golf course.
