Why he XLed: He spearheaded the catch-up modification for the base maintenance contract, adding six buildings and 2,700 tasks that helped maintain Laughlin infrastructure. He took on extra tasks as lead contracting officer representative by administering five 47th CES contracts. He validated 18 work orders and kept half of manned flight working at 100 percent. When a main water break occurred on base, he suggested several solutions and kept the water service flowing. He also worked overtime hours to ensure correct work, saving $5,000 by repairing instead of replacing equipment.
