Why he Xled: He helped coordinate a charitable 5K race where he coordinated more than 50 volunteers and 520 runners. The event raised $56,000 and three truck loads of food for charity. In preparation for the race, he volunteered 60 off duty hours leading up to the event. The preparations included multiple radio interviews and meeting with local civic leaders that resulted in a perfectly executed event. He also skillfully completed additional duties that included squadron voting assistance officer, squadron motorcycle mentor and runway supervisory unit instructor controller. He masterfully scheduled 97 sorties that overcame a two-day timeline deficit that resulted in 10 student pilots graduating on time. He enrolled in Squadron Officer School, and has accomplished all required preparation including successfully passing hi first academic test.
