Halloween Family Fun 5K and Kid's Race

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --  The Losano Fitness Center is scheduled to host a Halloween Family Fun 5K and Kid's Race at the Losano Track and is open to all Team XL, Oct. 27.

"The event is something fun for the kids and the whole family to enjoy, and is a good way of starting off the Halloween weekend," said Bridget Blassingame, Losano Fitness Center sports program director.

Registration for each race is available at the Losano Fitness Center's front desk up to the day of the event.

Sign up will begin at 8:30 a.m. for the kids race and is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. at the track across from the Losano Fitness Center. The race is for 3-to-8-year-olds and will be 800 meters long.

The 5K will begin after the kid's race and will start at Patterson Street. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. and is open to 9-year-olds and up.

Baby strollers and pets are welcome during the 5K.

"There will be candy available," said Blassingame "and costumes are encouraged for both the kid's race and 5K."
