Team XL member identified after fatal accident Published June 13, 2012 By 47th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs 47th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Jerry Stone, 47th Maintenance Directorate, was killed in a motorcycle accident near Loop 79 in Del Rio, Texas, June 11 at about 6:45 a.m. Stone, a retired technical sergeant, worked as a T-6 Texan II aircraft engine mechanic here. He was 58 years old and is survived by his wife, Olga, and two children, Jonathon and Jarod, both in the U.S. Navy. "All of Team XL is saddened by the death of Jerry," said Col. Tom Murphy, 47th Flying Training Wing commander. "Our prayers are with him and his loved ones affected by this incident." A visitation and service will be held at Palmer Mortuary in Seguin, Texas. However, the dates and times have not been announced.
