Policy for privately-owned ammunition at Laughlin changes Published June 21, 2011 By 47th Security Forces Squadron LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- In accordance with AFI 31-101, Integrated Defense, and Laughlin AFB 31-101, Integrated Defense Plan, privately-owned firearms and ammunition will not be stored in government-owned or leased dormitories, government lodging facilities or camp grounds. The 47th Security Forces Squadron armory, located at Building 139, room 125, has now been authorized to store privately-owned ammunition. There are certain restrictions that apply to the storage of privately-owned ammunition. Prior to arriving at the armory, the 47th SFS requests personnel contact the armory staff at 830-298-4118 or the emergency communications center at 830-298-5100 to coordinate withdrawal or turning-in of privately-owned ammunition.
