Laughlin's marina, located at Lake Amistad, will soon be re-admitting seven boats into service.

The reconditioned vessels include three pontoons, two fishing boats and two ski boats that have been out of the water for repairs. This addition creates a combined fleet of sixteen boats to which Laughlin members have access.

Marina management would like Laughlin members to come out and take advantage of the marina's various amenities, equipment and services that include great camping and tent sites, grills and a store with a variety of items.

Laughlin members also have access to the excellent fishing and boating knowledge and the familiarity of the area that Wayne Collough and Larry Whitlock, Marina staff members, possess.

The marina features several launching points that allow for maximum launching efficiency. Also noteworthy is the fact that the largest bass ever recorded was caught just several hundred yards from the marina.

"The marina offers the most restful, peaceful opportunity to get out on the water and a have a good, safe time. It also allows for an excellent day for kids in one of the few national park areas owned by the Air Force," said Mike Easterly, Laughlin Club Systems operations manager.
