Your opinion counts! Published March 8, 2011 By Grisel Sanchez and Machelle Terrell 47th Flying Training Wing LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Air Force officials have extended the 2011 Air Force Community Needs Assessment until April 3. The voluntary survey is designed to capture experiences and opinions that will help improve life for families on Laughlin. The results of the survey are critical to chaplains and those working at an Airman and Family Readiness Center, Family Advocacy, the Health and Wellness Center, the Mental Health Clinic and youth programs. It will be used to develop the Community Action Plans to meet the needs of service members and their families. Without accurate information, base helping agencies may not know the real issues and waste resources combating the wrong ones. Active-duty members, Reservists and spouses, as well as all appropriated fund civilian employees, were randomly selected to participate in the anonymous survey. Those selected began receiving an e-mail invitation Jan. 30 to participate in the survey. Spouses were mailed a postcard. The survey takes about 35 minutes to complete. To date, less than 15 percent of selected Laughlin participants have completed the assessment. So, please let your voice be heard loud and clear by completing the survey. For more information on the survey, call 800-506-0098 or e-mail afcasurvey@icfi.com.
