The Laughlin Education and Enrichment Program, a community outreach program designed to pair Laughlin Airmen with students from a local elementary school, is looking for volunteers.

Volunteers meet two or three times each week depending on the volunteer's schedule and Laughlin Airmen of all ranks are invited to participate.

According to Capt. Scott Thompson, LEEP director, the program has already had a great impact on the local community. The emotional and educational guidance of the participating Airmen boosted the performance of at-risk students to the point where Ruben Chavira School received the city's first-ever Exemplary School rating from the Texas Education Board, according to Capt. Scott Thompson.

Anyone interested in participating, can forward his/her name, phone number, duty position and contact information to Capt. Scott Thompson, 47th Operations Support Squadron via email.
