Since 1986, April has been The Month of the Military Child, and this year Laughlin's Airmen and Family Readiness Center is honoring its littlest members throughout the month with a number of events.

A series of classes, designed to help Laughlin members build strong families, will be offered twice daily at noon and 1 p.m. every Wednesday at Su Casa, 8018 Kenyon St., from April 8 to May 20.

The classes are based on best-selling books by Dr. Stephen R. Covey and each one focuses on one of "The 7 Habits of Successful Military Families", beginning with "HABIT 1: Be Proactive- 'Take Control of You'".

Club XL will be hosting the Children's Commitment to Acknowledge our Military children in our Organizations Dining Out, or CAMO Dining Out April 15. Military members should wear ABU's or BDU's and children and civilians are encouraged to wear camouflage clothing.

The event is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with dinner served at 5:40 p.m. Crafts will be available for the children while an informative presentation will be provided for the parents.
