Laughlin welcomes new 47th MSG commander

LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --  Team XL recently welcomed Col. Andrew Cernicky as the new 47th Mission Support Group commander.  

Hometown: Arnold, Pa.

Family: Stacey (spouse), Andrew, Caitlin, Nicholas and Ashley

Time in service: 22 years, 8 months

Greatest feat: Becoming a husband and father!

Leadership philosophy: Be ready to serve, always. Take care of your fellow
warriors and those you support, serve, and lead--our future is in your
hands! Developing tomorrow's air, space, and cyberspace leaders begins with
you now! Teamwork! Seize opportunity. Integrity, Service Above Self, and

Hobbies: Spending time with family, playing golf, tennis, and baseball, running,
and investing for the future.

Bad habit: (Mine) Not getting my five fruits and vegetables daily!
(Others) Not taking care of our environment--littering, etc!

What or who has inspired you most in life and why? My military commanders,
supervisors and fellow military, government and civilian members for their selfless
service, dedication to duty and untiring efforts to be difference makers.
