Laughlin hosted Tops in Blue Feb. 23 bringing the Air Force's premier entertainment showcase for the entire family here.

Accompanying the team as they performed this year's show "The Fly-By" was 1st Lt. Kimberly Robinson, a Del Rio native.

During the 90-minute show Tops in Blue performed a musical tribute including
singing, dancing, and instrumentals with a re-cap of the past five decades.

"The Fly-By" included renditions of music by Stevie Wonder, Johnny Cash, a remake of "American Bandstand" and much more, all honoring the Air Force's 60th Anniversary.

Tops in Blue averages around 120 performances at 100 locations worldwide. Laughlin was one of the last locations to have the opportunity to see the show before it wraps up at Lackland Air Force Base Feb. 29.

"So many wonderful people came out to see the show," said Lieutenant Robinson with a look of appreciation. "I can't tell you how happy it makes me to be back home, to be back in Texas."

Claiming Del Rio as home, Lieutenant Robinson graduated from Del Rio High School with a four year ROTC scholarship to San Angelo State University.

After graduating SASU, she entered the Air Force as a Personnel Specialist. She is still currently on her first assignment in Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England and will return to Lakenheath directly after the year-long tour to pursue her master's degree.

After the performance in the weather shelter, the Tops in Blue crew took some time after the show to greet the Laughlin crowd with hand shakes, hugs and autographs.

As the crowd of fans dwindled and Lieutenant Robinson said good-bye to her friends and family, the crew began to pack their trucks and busses so they could set out for their next show scheduled for the following day in San Angelo.
