After months of heavy-construction work, Laughlin's main gate located off of Highway 90 is scheduled to re-open Feb. 19, more than three weeks ahead of schedule.

Beginning Feb. 19 at 5:00 a.m., Laughlin's main gate will resume 24-hour operations. The west gate that was temporarily open full time during the construction will also resume normal duty hours operating from 6:00 - 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. All commercial vehicles will be required to use Laughlin's main gate.

With an approximate cost of $200,000, the main gate includes a larger commercial search area, a new parking expansion and gate-activated, final-denial wedge barriers. The changes provide added security for Laughlin and the community and will allow the gate guards to perform their duties at maximum potential while minimizing the impact of congestion through the main gate.
