LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Airman 1st Class Brett Banwell and Senior Airman Brian Evans, 47th Aerospace Physiology, practice wearing an oxygen mask and helmet, while concentrating on breathing techniques and familiarization with the equipment. Practice is one way the Airmen in Aerospace Physiology stay current with the equipment in order to train Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training students. “Aerospace Physiology helps pilots become familiar with how their body and mind will react when they get into the sky,” said Airman Banwell. “We allow pilots to fly effectively!” (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Sara Csurilla)
