Accident claims life of Laughlin's Airman Published April 25, 2007 By Kent Cummins 47th FTW public affairs LAUGHLIN AIRFORCE BASE, Texas -- A motorcycle accident at approximately 8:30 p.m. April 23 in Del Rio claimed the life of a Laughlin member. Senior Airman Juan V. Navarro, 22, 47th Aeromedical Dental Squadron, was traveling north on Bedell Avenue when the accident occurred. Airman Navarro was a member of the base' s Aerospace Physiology Flight. "This is a tragic accident and we are saddened by the loss of a member of the Laughlin family," said Col. Laro Clark, 47th Flying Training Wing vice commander. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to Airman Navarro's family." A ceremony lowering the flag to half-staff in honor of Airman Navarro took place at 12:15 p.m. April 24. A memorial service is being planned and details will be forthcoming.
