Laughlin members can expect delays Jan. 31, Feb. 1 Published Jan. 22, 2007 By Kent Cummins 47 FTW Public Affairs LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The base-wide Scarlet Hawk 07-01 Exercise is slated for Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. All Laughlin members can expect delays and minor inconveniences as they conduct business across the base as the wing exercises its ability to continue operating under adverse conditions. Base members and visitors can anticipate delays at the gates, possible building evacuations, difficulty finding parking spaces and increased waiting times at most support agencies. During the exercise, people on base may hear "Giant Voice" exercise warnings and see emergency vehicles responding to exercise scenarios around the base. People should yield to these vehicles as they normally would. Exercise Evaluation Team members encourage Laughlin personnel to be patient as Team XL ensures its ability to respond to any contingency situation. For more information, call the EET at Ext. 5205.
