LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Unit and job title: 47th Civil Engineer Squadron emergency management logistics apprentice

Why she XLed: Walker led a 15 member team, inspected three tents, and eliminated $19,000 of unusable equipment, helping save 36 man-hours in a 40-percent manned shop. She lead the Headquarters Air Force-directed emergency management equipment inventory which involved surveying 111 items worth $25,000. She managed two summer workers to help clear debris and reclaim 4,500 square feet and turned in $10,000 in excess equipment in the process. Lastly, Walker was a member of the Active Squadron Booster Club, where she planned and executed a lunch fundraiser that raised $200.
