Airman and Family Readiness offers classes

The Airman and Family Readiness Center is scheduled to hold various free classes for Laughlin members throughout June.

This summer, the A&FRC is building off of the momentum of Laughlin's Airmen and families' expressed interests and will offer proactive and preventive services that promote self-sufficiency, and sustain the personal and family readiness of our total force, explained Melissa Menchaca, 47th Force Support Squadron Airman & Family Services flight chief.

The classes offered this month are:

Heart   Link is June 10 from 8 a.m. to noon. The Heart Link class is there to inform those new to the Air Force on the Air Force mission, traditions, customs and protocols as well as available resources and services for military spouses.

Budgeting   for a Vacation is June 16 from noon to 1 p.m. This class will give you the key to a successful vacation by going over tools, such as planning and budgeting.

Writing a Federal Resume is June 17 from noon to 1 p.m. This class will review the knowledge, skills and abilities to help you better organize and target your resume to a specific job.

Deployment and the Military Child is June 25 from noon to 1 p.m. Children express their feelings about separation in different ways. This class will give you the tools to recognize those expressions and give steps to helps ease a child's separation anxiety during a parent's deployment or long TDY.
