LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Job title and unit: 47th Logistics Readiness Flight, NCO in charge of logistics plans

Why she XLed: Garza volunteered 14 hours to a local food bank and prepared 25,000 pounds of food for more than 1,500 local families. She was hand-selected to brief at a non-commissioned officer seminar and taught the new Air and Space Expeditionary Force concepts to 12 attendees. Garza also led the installation deployment plan rewrite where she made more than 400 changes to 166 pages that helped streamline the document and kept the wing in compliance. Through her leadership and guidance Laughlin has been lauded by Air Education and Training Command for being "best in command," for AEF Unit Type Code Reporting Tool statistics.
