LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Job title and unit: 85th Flying Training Squadron, F-flight assistant commander

Why he XLed: Fine was chosen to be the main point of contact for the wing's toy drive and coordinated with more than 30 volunteers to boost morale for 900 children in the local community. He was the 85th Flying Training Squadron's Company Grade Officer of the Quarter for the 2014 4th Quarter. He was in the top five percent for squadron flight hours; hours that were crucial to the graduation of 12 student pilots. Fine also provided major weapon system experience to 25 student pilots to better prepare them for the military lifestyle.
