Laughlin community yard sale to be held February 21 Published Feb. 11, 2015 By Airman 1st Class Ariel D. Delgado 47th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The 47th Force Support Squadron will be holding a Nonappropriated Funds and community yard sale Feb. 21 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Club XL parking lot, here. The sale is open to anyone with base access. Anyone who wishes to sell their own items may pay a fee of $10 to rent a spot. The sale will include household, office, outdoor items and more. Following the sale, the Laughlin Outdoor Recreation center will be holding the grand opening of the Disc Golf Course, which will be located between the officer dormitories and Club XL. Disc golf is a precision and accuracy sport in which an individual player throws a flying disc at a target. The opening event will have snacks, bouncy castles and ODR will also be selling and renting out discs as, well as offering lessons on how to play the game. The ODR is also using the event as an opportunity to showcase their newest equipment to Laughlin members. For more information, contact the ODR center at 298-5830.
