The Laughlin Spouses' Club brought holiday joy to enlisted and student pilots with almost 5,000 cookies as part of the annual Cookie Caper event Dec. 11, 2014.

The packages were assembled and delivered by more than 20 volunteers. Volunteers included spouses and their children.

This year 247 door knobs were decorated by the surprise gifts. Additional bags were sent to the 47th Student Squadron.

"The LSC is here to support everyone, all together at Laughlin," said Peters. "Big thanks to everyone who baked and helped with delivery."

The goal was 500 dozen cookies this year, but only 400 dozen were collected. Gayle Peters, charitable chair of Laughlin Spouses' Club, hopes to reach that 500 mark in 2015.

It was such a sweet gesture," remarked 2nd Lt. Victoria Perkins, 47th Student Squadron, student. "It must have been a lot of effort and it's great to know people are thinking about us over the Holidays. It really binds the military families we are all building."
