LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- It's time for young, old, new and veteran runners to lace up their shoes and run with members of Laughlin Air Force Base during an annual event to bring support to the local food pantry.

Val Verde Loaves and Fishes, Del Rio's largest non-profit food bank, is scheduled to host the 4th annual Running with the Bulls 5K, Nov. 8 at 8:30 a.m. at Brown Plaza in Del Rio, Texas.

"Registration is now open and tickets cost $15 until early registration ends Oct. 26," Said Rodney Dwyer,
RWTB volunteer coordinator. "After Oct. 26, tickets will be $20 and can be purchased until race kick off."

This year, the race will be featuring a new improvement.

"We always want to bring something new to the run to make it better," said Dwyer. "Last year we added a 10K option for the more avid runners and this year we are featuring a professional timing system to ensure people receive the most accurate time for their run."

The more runners the better because all donations go to Val Verde Loaves and Fishes to help support local families in need, explained Dwyer.

"We provide a lot of the volunteers for the event, which is actually put on by Loaves and Fishes," said Dwyer. "It's an amazing example of the work two communities can do together, and further solidifies the bond between the Del Rio and Laughlin."
