Laughlin Hosts 2014 Oktoberfest

The 2014 Oktoberfest is scheduled for Oct. 18, by Club XL on Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, from  6:00 p.m. to midnight.

"Oktoberfest 2014 is going to be excellent," said Senior Master Sgt. Michael Juda, 47th Communications Squadron superintendent. "The event will be jammed packed with entertainment from DJ Stevie Mac's Dance Machine, a live band, numerous games and eating contests." 

The event will feature a plethora of German themed food and beverages to include: bratwurst, jaeger schnitzel, smoked turkey legs, giant pretzels, German potato salad, Bavarian bread rolls and much more.

Door prizes and awards will be given out throughout the ceremony. The prizes include $100 worth of gift cards, 100 beverage and food tickets, grill tool set, club bucks and much more.

Tickets for the event can be purchased through your group point of contacts or at the Club XL.  Tickets are $15 for members, $18 for non-members and  $5.95 for children ages 6 to 12.  Tickets purchased after Oct. 14 will be $20.
