LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --

Job title and unit: 47th Medical Operations Squadron aerospace medical technician

Why she XLed: As a member of the Laughlin Air Force Base Honor Guard, Holder upheld the highest levels of military traditions and customs and courtesies while honoring fallen heroes during five events and two funerals. She assisted an incapacitated patient by quickly assessing and treating an adverse reaction, thus enabling the patient to make a full recovery. Her commitment to advance professionally was evident as a Basic Life Support instructor where she certified 16 base personnel and readied first responders for real-world events.
