Why he XLed: Campos served as incident commander, responsible for command and control during two emergency responses. He is credited with saving the lives of two victims after he initiated basic life support for a choking infant and a heat exhaustion victim. He is Laughlin's Firefighter Association's president and coordinated the annual "fill-the-boot" fundraiser that raised $4,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He also filled a technical sergeant position, choreographed daily firehouse operations for two weeks, and supervised 19 personnel and 12 vehicles through eight responses suffering zero losses.
