Jhanelle Haag 47th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- A routine, military training event will take place at Lake Amistad from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15. The Laughlin's 96th Flying Training Squadron and 47th Flying Training Wing will be conducting helicopter and water training throughout the Spur 406 and Highway 90. "This is a great opportunity for Reserve, active duty and Air National Guard units to train together and ensure if any real world crisis's were to hit our region, they are ready to respond rapidly to protect our community partners," said Joel Langton, 47th FTW Public Affairs chief. Residents are asked to not be alarmed if they see heavy helicopter activity over North/East of Highway 90 bridge and Spur 406.
