Delgado 47th Flying Training Wing Public Affairs LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Team XL is invited to participate in the 37th annual George Paul Memorial Bull Riding competition April 25 and 26 at 8 p.m. at the Val Verde County Fairgrounds. The top 40 bull professional riders from across the U.S., including five past world champions, will be on hand to compete during the two-day event. "Saturday is Laughlin Night, a night dedicated to Laughlin members," said John Ludlum, GPMBR event marketing coordinator. "We look forward to a packed house with a large number of Laughlin personnel, uniformed and civilian." The event is also full of volunteering opportunities for those interested. Volunteers are needed for set up and tear down, cooking, selling food and admissions. To volunteer, contact Senior Airman John Partlow at john.partlow@us.af.mil. "We at the George Paul realize how important Laughlin is to our nation and to the city of Del Rio," said Ludlum. "The world's best pilots are trained here at Laughlin, and it is our pleasure to give the base nationwide television coverage. This is our way to give back and help support your mission while having a good time." Team XL members interested in attending Saturday night have a special reserved grandstand section set aside for the event and discounted tickets. Tickets are marked down from $30 to $25, and groups who purchase nine tickets will receive the 10th one free. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the GPMBR office at 775-9595.
