Why she XLed: Plata completed the unit program coordinator and commander support staff Management Internal Control Toolset checklist review by validating 190 inspection items that re-established program standards. She coordinated with seven work centers, identified nine new physical training leaders and devised a schedule to completely overhaul the unit’s fitness program. Plata also increased the unit’s effectiveness by shouldering six additional commander programs and centralizing commander support staff actions, keeping the mission on track.
