How much are tickets? Free! Any attempt to sell you admission tickets is a scam and we ask that you please report it at 47ftwpa.tasker@us.af.mil or via Facebook Messenger to the Laughlin AFB account. The Fiesta of Flight Airshow is free and open to the general public.
What identification is required to get on base? There will be no identification requirements for visitors entering for the airshow. Distinguished visitors, media and vendors will be vetted prior to the Airshow.
Will we need to walk from the parking lot to the show? Yes, be prepared to walk a ½ mile from the parking area to the show. Wear of comfortable shoes is encouraged.
Will shuttles be available from the parking lots to the show? Shuttle access will be limited.
Is there a schedule for the aerial performances? Show start time is TBD.
Where will the Entrance to base for the public be? Access to Laughlin AFB for the public will be through North Gate off of US HWY 90.
Where will base, military personnel, vendors, volunteers, and media enter the base? Base community members, DoD Cardholders, vendors, volunteers, and media are asked to use West Gate entrance.
Can a Department of Defense cardholder sponsor non-cardholders through during the Airshow? The airshow is completely free and open to the public. Non-DOD cardholders will not need to be sponsored on the installation.
Is there a limit to parking? Yes, Parking will become limited, so carpooling is highly encouraged and requested
Where can people look for traffic updates if we are at capacity?
Traffic info can be found on the Laughlin AFB Facebook and Instagram pages.
Will hearing protection be provided? Earplugs are not provided to attendees. Visitors are highly encouraged to bring their own for ease of use or comfort.
Can I bring chairs, blankets and/or umbrellas to the event?
Yes! Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and small umbrellas. However, no tents, large umbrellas, or canopies are allowed.
Can I bring my own food and drinks to the Airshow? No, there will be a variety of food vendors on-site. The only food that is allowed is for an infant or toddler.
Can we bring alcohol onto the base? No. Alcohol will be available for purchase at the airshow. Alcohol must be consumed on the premise, and we ask that people have a plan for a designated driver to get them home safely.
What are other prohibited items?
Weapons, firearms, knives and any sharp objects, illegal substances and drugs, bags larger than 14”x14”x6”, Aerosol Cans, Balloons, Beach balls, cans, glass bottles and boxed liquids, fireworks, laser pointers, mace or pepper spray, sticks, poles, bats, or clubs, T-shirts or clothing with vulgar language.
Will spectators be allowed to take photos and video? Of course! We encourage all visitors to take photos and videos throughout the event. Commercial A/V equipment and tripods are prohibited unless you possess a media pass.
Will there be sitting areas, restrooms, etc. for people with disabilities? There will also be handicap accessible bathrooms available. There are no designated seating areas.
Will there be seats available?
There will be preferred seating available for purchase for $15 (Free for ages 3 and up). There are no other designated seating areas. All seating will be first come first serve.
Will there be Handicap Parking available?
Yes. You must have a handicapped plate or tag in the car. Handicapped parking is limited and is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please arrive early to ensure yourself a parking spot.
Are pets allowed? Only service animals are allowed at the airshow.
Do you have T-shirts, caps, etc., for sale? If so, where can they be purchased? Airshow novelty items will be available for purchase at multiple locations on the Airshow site.
Will there be a motorized wheelchair (scooters, etc.) drop-off location and access to viewing areas? There will be handicap accessible parking available close to the Entry Control Point.
Can we bring a wagon to carry folding chairs and umbrellas?
Wagons are authorized, but only small umbrellas are authorized. No tents, large umbrellas, or canopies are allowed.
Can we drive our RV/ motorhomes onto the base for the airshow and park overnight? RVs, motorhomes, or trailers (5th wheels, camping trailers, boat trailers, etc.) are prohibited for the airshow.
Will there be currency exchange available?
No, cash U.S. dollars and credit cards will be accepted only.
What form of payment will vendors accept?
Most vendors will accept cash and credit cards.
