LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas—The base education center is scheduled to host on-site college classes starting Jan. 13, 2020 at building 221 on Mitchell Blvd.

The term lasts until March 8, it and provides a chance for Airmen who may have a busy schedule to get the in-class experience and assistance they need.

“Airmen have told me the real-time feedback and the face-to-face interaction they receive when attending class is massively helpful,” said Alaina Reed, Park University campus center administrator.

When selecting courses to be hosted at Laughlin, she looks for introductory courses so those who haven’t had college courses in a while or those who are just beginning have a practical place to start. The classes she chooses are also accepted by the Community College of the Air Force.

Reed makes a point as the university representative to be there for the students who chose the on-base option as well as Park University online.

“I can help them decide what some of their educational goals might be, I can help them apply for online classes,” Reed said. “I will also be the one to help with veteran’s assistance education benefits.”

Students looking to achieve their CCAF degree or get started on college in the classroom environment are encouraged to call the education office at 830-298-5520.
