Unit and job title: 85th Flying Training Squadron administrative journeyman

Why he XLed: Williams boosted his squadron’s operations tempo, coordinating 11 officer performance reports, two enlisted performance reports, five decorations and eight promotion recommendation forms with a perfect on-time rate. He directed a unit security manager program for 91 Airmen, stopping a harmful phishing scam. Williams reviewed the administrative processes of a 91-member unit and found 10 discrepancies, setting his unit up for success during a unit effectiveness inspection. He led his squadron’s unfavorable information file program, tracking down control rosters and letter of reprimand actions; Air Education and Training Command found his program 100% accurate and compliant. Lastly, Williams co-led the operations group’s Fall Fest, dedicating his time to helping setup and tear down the event, which served more than 200 wing members.
