Laughlin XLer – Tech. Sgt. Matthew Hare, 47th Civil Engineer Squadron

Job title and unit: 47th Civil Engineer Squadron assistant chief of operations

Why he XLed: He is the Fire Fighter Association president, manages charters, and approves expenditures that take care of Airmen and families in need. He leads a 24-hour shift and has finished the Fire Officer III course, a chief officer program. He acted as the incident commander and led 13 personnel in 73 in-flight emergencies. He was the 47th Civil Engineer Squadron point of contact for Tops in Blue and helped set up the tent, generator, foreign object damage walk and emergency response. He was selected as the emcee for the 47th Mission Support Group commander's call.
