Why she Xled: She increased the medical treatment cap and instituted five health preventive services that recouped $4,800 per month in referrals from civilian providers. She was the Interim Clinical Response Team chief during a major accident response exercise. She led a 20-member team during the 2012 Consolidated Unit Inspection that resulted in a wing rating of 'excellent'. She briefed diabetes management at Texas A&M for five weeks where she taught 20 patients. She was the nurse for Laughlin Air Force Base's half marathon and supported 130 runners. She acted on a Tuberculosis incident where she tested and cleared 28 workplace contacts. Her actions averted a scare and potential infection resulting in zero hours of work productivity lost. She revived the Protecting our Workers and Ensuring Reemployment Initiative program where she investigated 75 injuries and initiated treatments that boosted compliance to 80 percent in three months. She enhanced the health of 570 Laughlin personnel and organized the Breast Cancer Awareness lunch. She also organized the Asthma Awareness and Physical Training Educational Health Fair.
