LAUGHLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Job title and unit: 85th Flying Training Squadron, instructor pilot

Why he XLed: Taylor selflessly devoted more than 15 hours to ensure unrivaled student pilot training in a week with 16 standard and evaluation events. He was instrumental to keeping the T-6 Texan II sorties days ahead of the training timeline despite being at 70 percent manning. He showcased the 47th Flying Training Wing's number one mission of training the world's best pilots and the wing's aircraft fleet to a distinguished visitor and his family. He was also the assistant point of contact for the squadron holiday party and managed a $2,000 dollar budget.
