Unit and job title: 47th Force Support Squadron military and manpower flight chief

Why he XLed: Kuhlmann administered an enlisted force distribution panel for process improvement. He identified duty status shortfalls and fixed the issue; leading to a 35-percent increase in reporting accuracy. He revamped the commander’s support staff training and mitigated a 20-percent manning shortage. Lastly, Kuhlmann led a team of 22 Airmen in the relocation of the community commons and 47th FSS command section.
