Laughlin XLer: Omar Matos

Matos lifted up a fellow Airman during a time of financial hardship; Matos offered his own home to that Airman while he recovered and was recognized by the 47th Medical Group commander for it. Additionally, Matos operated the train rides during the Hunt Community National Night Out, increasing the quality of life for 250 family members. He also launched Laughlin’s first-ever geocaching event, introducing 7 of Laughlin’s children to the new activity. Matos led the base Trunks-n-Treat event, providing contests, games, food, a haunted house and entertainment for more than 450 participants. Lastly, Matos organized the Operation XL Junior Deployment, energizing 350 Laughlin families.
